CFA called to washaway in Bayswater

CFA was called to a washaway on the corner of Jersey Road and Malvern Street at Bayswater at 4pm on Tuesday 28 November.

According to a CFA spokesperson, the local council was notified due to a “large amount of oil on the road and the requirement for more sand to put on it”.

“The incident was brought under control at 4.09pm,” the spokesperson said.

“The incident was declared safe at 4.17pm.

“CFA had three trucks on scene supported by FRV.”

Victoria Police was also on scene, according to the spokesperson.
