Mullum Mullum hosts vital breast cancer screening

Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place will be hosting vital breast cancer screening for women on February 12 and 13 in EACH Ferntree Gully.

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer for Victorian Aboriginal women which is why MMIGP has partnered with VACCHO and Breast Screening Victoria to provide free breast screenings as a part of their Beautiful Shawl Project.

The screenings will take 20 minutes and each participant that has a screening will receive a shawl (artwork below) to wear during the screening and take home.

The location of the screening will be: EACH Ferntree Gully Car Park, 1063 Burwood Highway, Ferntree Gully, VIC 3156

To be eligible for a screening time, you must:

-Be at least 40 years of age

-Have not had a breast screening done in the last 12 months and,

-Have no breast symptoms
