Road blockage Monbulk

A number of fallen trees have blocked and closed a road in Monbulk on Friday 26 April.

Yarra Ranges police reported via social media at 10.30am that Emerald-Monbulk Rd is closed between Moxhams Rd and David Hill Rd, Monbulk due to multiples trees coming down across the road.

Due to the size of them, crews are awaiting heavy machinery to remove them.

It is expected that the road will be closed for a number of hours.

The road has remained closed and the Vic Roads advised via their updates to detour via Belgrave where possible.

Victoria Police and SES are attending. Please be alert for residential traffic when using local roads.

Update: VicRoads advised the road was re-open by 6pm.
