Knox City Council are asking for community feedback on their future plan the for Bayswater Activity Centre.
If residents have your say by 5 May they have a chance to chance to win an entertainment voucher.
The draft Bayswater Renewal Strategy has been developed to ensure the activity centre continues to be a thriving hub for community life and business until 2040.Feedback we receive will help the council to finalise the strategy.
The draft strategy guides development aims to support population growth and housing needs, while protecting Bayswater’s distinctive character. The draft strategy also aims to balance economic, social and environmental matters.
Key initiatives in the draft strategy include transforming Penguin Place and Macauley Place, increasing the number of people living in the centre, facilitating the renewal of Bayswater Triangle, and developing a night-time economy.
Previous community engagement in 2020 and 2022, helped inform priorities and initiatives identified in the draft strategy.
