Tecoma house fire being treated as suspicious

A house fire in Tecoma on Thursday morning caused ruckus with the CFA and Police flocking to the scene.

A CFA spokesperson said, “CFA units were alerted to a house fire on Clifford Grove, Tecoma around 7.15am, 11 July.”

“Units from Bayswater, Sassafras, Belgrave and Upwey attended the scene.”

CFA crews arrived to find the house issuing flames.

The CFA spokesperson said, “firefighters entered the building and worked to extinguish the fire.”

“Victoria Police also attended the scene. The incident is being treated as suspicious and is being investigated.”

“The incident was declared under control at 7.38am and deemed safe at 8.38am.”
