The BoM have released their weekend forecast on Friday afternoon of 26 July and it’s a shivery weekend ahead for the the Yarra Ranges and Yarra Valley with a slight chance of snow on Saturday at 600 metres above sea level.

There is a cold outbreak on the way for all of Southern Australia which is forecast to include rain, hail, gusty winds and low level snow.

On Saturday it will be all about the cold front through the southeast and it’s possible there will be thunderstorms.

Much colder air will be moving in with showers, possible small hail and even potentially some snow to low levels may be down as low as 400 meters over parts of Tasmania, six to 700 meters over Victoria and New South Wales.
