Knox careers night approaches

A free networking event approaches for the youth of the Knox area.

Young people have been invited to explore exciting training and career opportunities at the Knox Apprenticeship and Careers Night on 28 August.

This event has been designed to help young people aged 15-25 kickstart their careers.

Students, recent graduates, or those seeking a new career path are encouraged to come along.

Over 20 exhibitors including local employers and volunteer organisations will be at the event.

This is a great chance to meet potential employers, discuss opportunities and get valuable career advice.

Exhibitors include:

Interchange Outer East, disability support service

Puffing Billy Railways, a major tourist attraction in Dandenong Ranges

CIRE Training, a training provider

Australian Unity Walmsley Aged Care, an aged care residence

Masta Scaffold Melbourne, a scaffolding solutions business

Defence Civilian Force, an area in the Australian Government Department of Defence

Knox City Council, local government

Swinburne University of Technology, an education and training provider

Experts will also be available to provide advice on resume writing, interviewing skills, and finding apprenticeships.

Knox City council have partnered with Outer Eastern Local Learning and Employment network organise this event.

Over 100 people attended last year’s event.
