A woman has lost her life and been allegedly stabbed in Bayswater on Saturday 16 November.
A man has since been charged and will now face court after the alleged fatal stabbing occurred in a residence on Cousin Drive.
According to police media, emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing at the property around 11:15 am on Saturday 16 November.
Upon arrival, they found the 51-year-old woman from Bayswater deceased inside the residence.
A 47-year-old man, also from Bayswater, was arrested shortly afterwards at a nearby property and taken to the hospital under police guard.
He has since been charged with one count of murder and was remanded by Homicide Squad detectives to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Sunday 17 November.
