Road crime offender faces multiple charges

Last week, officers from Knox Highway Patrol executed warrants at properties in Vermont South and Heathmont in connection with a 24-year-old male suspected of involvement in various crimes across multiple suburbs.

A red Holden sedan, along with other property, was seized, and the man was arrested at one of the locations. He was later released on bail and is set to face more than 40 charges in court next year.

The investigation into the broader range of offenses was initiated following a report of ‘hoon’ driving in Heathmont.

Police remind the public that confidential reports can be made via Crimestoppers.

Additionally, Crimestoppers offers a ‘See It. Share It.’ program, where the community can submit footage (CCTV, dashcam, etc.) of high-risk driving behavior.
