Saturday 1 February at 7pm will see the Burrinja Theatre will host a special fundraising screening of WINHANGANHA, presented by the National Film and Sound Archive in collaboration with the Burrinja Cultural Centre.
Part of the lead-up to Belgrave Survival Day all funds raised directed toward supporting First Nations artists and musicians.
WINHANGANHA, created by Wiradjuri artist Jazz Money, is an experimental film that reflects on the legacies of archival collections and their impact on First Nations communities. Through a mix of archival footage, original poetry, and a score by composer DOBBY (Rhyan Clapham), the film explores themes of power, storytelling, and resistance.
