Members of the Highway Patrol’s Road Crime Tasking Team raided a property in The Patch on Tuesday morning, 1 April, as part of an ongoing investigation into hoon behaviour in the Dandenong Ranges.

The operation followed concerns raised by local residents about the safety risks posed by reckless driving in the area.

The investigation focused on a 24-year-old male driver who had been engaging in dangerous and high-risk driving, including speeding around blind corners and drifting during daylight hours.

Images collected by police show the driver losing control and veering off the road, illustrating the inherent dangers of his actions.

During the raid, officers seized three vehicles involved in the incidents. The driver was arrested, interviewed, and now faces several serious charges, which he will need to explain to a Magistrate.

Police are urging the public to report any similar reckless driving to Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestoppers.com.au.
