Cardinia Shire Council seeks feedback for Alma Treloar dog park upgrade

Alma Treloar Reserve’s dog off leash area is getting an upgrade and we want to hear from our community on what they would like included.

With funding support from the Victorian Government’s New and Upgraded Dog Parks program, Cardinia Shire Council is upgrading the dog off leash area at Alma Treloar Reserve to create a space that encourages socialising and exercising for all kinds of dogs.

The proposed upgrade aims to improve the facilities including additional seating, shelter, a concrete walking path, a drinking fountain with a dog water bowl, planting, and drainage improvements.

This consultation opportunity invites the community to share insights into how they and their four-legged friends use the park, what they enjoy about the park, any challenges they face and any suggestions for improvements.

The community can provide input in various ways:

Attend a pop up at Cockatoo Country Market

3 May 2025, 8.30am to 1.30pm

20 May 2025, 4pm to 6pm

Completing the Creating Cardinia short online survey or requesting a hardcopy via mail@cardinia.vic.gov.au.

This consultation opportunity will be open until Friday, 30 May, 2025.

This project forms part of the ongoing implementation of the Alma Treloar Reserve Masterplan that has seen recent upgrades to the reserve’s carpark, amphitheatre and stage area.
