Nice weekend ahead

Anyone visiting the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges is set to enjoy a delightful weekend, with clear skies and mild temperatures forecast for perfect for outdoor fun.

Saturday, May 10: In heading to the Yarra Valley, expect a sunny day with temperatures reaching a high of 21°C and a low of 6°C. Winds will be light, making it an ideal day for a visit to the region’s renowned wineries or a scenic drive through the valley.

In the Dandenong Ranges temperatures will reach a comfortable high of around 17°C, while the morning and evening could feel a bit chilly, dropping to around 5°C.

There’s no rain in the forecast, and winds will be light to moderate, so it’s a perfect day for a hike through Sherbrooke Forest or a visit to the lookout at Mount Dandenong.

Just remember to layer up in the morning!

Sunday, May 11: In the Yarra Valley, the pleasant weather continues, with mostly sunny conditions and temperatures peaking at 22°C and dipping to 9°C overnight.

Light winds will persist, ensuring another perfect day for outdoor pursuits.

In the Dandenong Ranges, Sunday is looking almost as good, with mostly sunny skies and just a few clouds drifting through during the day.

The temperature will again top out at around 17°C, with a slightly milder low of about 7°C. There’s only a small chance of rain—around 10%— so you’ll likely stay dry.

Winds will remain light, making it another good day for a stroll through the villages or even a picnic at one of the many lookouts.
