The community is invited to share their thoughts on the future of waste services in Cardinia Shire, including household bins, the proposed glass-only service, hard waste and green waste disposal.

Cardinia Shire Council is renewing its Waste Resource and Recovery Strategy. This strategy serves as a 10-year roadmap for the future direction of Council’s waste services, education and advocacy.

Community feedback will help create a draft strategy. In early 2026, the community will be invited to share their thoughts on the draft, before the strategy is finalised.

The community can provide feedback until Wednesday, 9 July, by attending an in-person pop-up event or filling out an online survey at www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/waste-engagement

Cardinia Shire Mayor, Jack Kowarzik encourages the community to get involved.

“This is a great opportunity to make your voice heard and help shape the future of waste services in Cardinia Shire!”

“Your feedback is vital for Council to deliver waste services that best meet the needs of the community.”
