Cyclist strikes pedestrian

A pedestrian has lost their life after being struck by a cyclist in Rowville last month.

After being struck while attempting to cross the road on 26 June, a woman has passed away.

Emergency services were called to Dandelion Drive about 1.35pm on 26 June, following reports that a pedestrian had been hit while attempting to cross the road.

The pedestrian, a 66-year-old woman from Rowville, was taken to hospital with serious injuries but sadly passed away later.

The cyclist, a 49-year-old Rowville man, sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
