Yarra Ranges locals encouraged to share knowledge for new flood risk map

Melbourne Water is looking for information about past Yarra Ranges floods to improve its flood mapping.

Residents who’ve experienced flooding are encouraged to share their stories and no level of expertise is needed.

Visit the website here to submit information: letstalk.melbournewater.com.au/index.php?cID=2822

If you recently submitted information and/or photos as part of the Yarra Ranges Shire Council stormwater engagement, your feedback has been passed on to Melbourne Water and there’s no need to give information a second time.

The work is being supported by Yarra Ranges Council, as part of the Greater Melbourne Flood Information Program.

“By having up-to-date flood risk maps, we can all better understand and prepare for floods,” a Yarra Ranges Council Facebook post read.
