Free sustainable living workshops

Knox City Council is encouraging residents to join its free Knox at home program, designed to make sustainable living easy, fun, and rewarding.

This online initiative offers a range of workshops and resources covering topics such as composting, energy efficiency, resourceful living, transport, self-care, food, gardening, and water conservation.

Participants can choose to join two live workshops each month or access more than 40 recorded sessions at their convenience. Upcoming live workshops include Help Me…Rethink My Lawn to Grow More and Mow Less with gardening expert Edwina Robinson on Tuesday, 19 August, and Grow It, Cook It: Simple, Seasonal Meals from the Garden with permaculture educator Morag Gamble on Tuesday, 9 September.

The program encourages residents to take simple actions that can lead to big savings and a healthier planet. Interested participants can register for free and access all workshops and resources by signing up at tinyurl.com/knoxathome.
