Date: Saturday 6 September 2025

Time: 10am – 2pm

Location: Emerald Library, 400B Belgrave-Gembrook Rd, Emerald

Cardinia Shire residents are welcome to attend, and pre-registration is not required.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Jack Kowarzik encourages the community to come along to the upcoming Trees for Weeds event.

“Our Trees for Weeds events are always a great opportunity to roll up your sleeves, do something good for your garden, and help out the local environment at the same time,” Mayor Kowarzik said.

“You’ll not only walk away with practical tips for tackling weeds, but you’ll be able to trade your clippings for a range of free indigenous plants, which you can take home and plant in your garden.”

Please note that only small clippings of weeds will be accepted. Green waste cannot be dropped off and will not be accepted at this event.
