Largest suite of roads sealed by council

Sealing works are now complete on the Cardinia Shire Council’s largest Sealing the Hills project – the First Grenville catchment.

The council announced the completion on Facebook on 25 September, which included roads predominately in the Cockatoo area.

Roads upgraded as part of this project include First Avenue, Grenville Road, Hazel Street, Marcelle Street, Neville Street, Rowy Road, Second Avenue, Spring Street, and Steane Street.

The works completed were pavement construction works, kerb and channel works, drainage works and updated signage and line-marking.

“We’re committed to improving the unsealed road network to enhance community safety, livability, and access to amenities and emergency services, while reducing dust, pollution, and maintenance issues for the community,” the council said in a Facebook post.

Please note that some minor works are still happening in the area.
