CFA responds to blaze in Olinda tree

A fire in a tree on Ida Grove in Olinda was swiftly brought under control by CFA crews earlier today, 16 October.

CFA spokesperson said they responded to reports of the blaze at approximately 12.27pm.

“Upon arrival, three units were on-site to manage the situation, they discovered the fire had ignited in a tree following a recent burn-off,” CFA spokesperson said.

The fire was deemed under control by 1.39pm, with no injuries reported.

CFA is reminding the community to ensure burn-offs are closely monitored to prevent fire hazards like this.
