Monbulk under 12’s began in the field after winning the toss, with tight bowling making for a slow start to the Eildon Park Panthers innings.
Monbulk bowlers shared the glory with one wicket each to Etienne Griersmith-Rowe (1/3), Toby Storer (1/6), Grace Hourigan (1/14) and Kit Sutton (1/13).
Chasing a total of 4/92, Monbulk lost some wickets cheaply.
Ethan Knight steadied the innings with 20 runs off 25 balls before retiring not out.
A last ditch smash with 25 of 21 balls – one six and three four’s – by Toby Storer was unfortunately not enough to take the match, Monbulk going down five runs short with a score of 5/88.
