Drizzly day couldn’t dampen spirits at this year’s Selbyfest

Despite a drizzly day, there was plenty of community spirit on show at this year’s Selbyfest, which took place on 4 October.

Families enjoyed the many activities offered on the day and cosied up inside the community house to enjoy live entertainment from numerous bands and music groups.

There were stalls from local community members selling a range of wares including food, trinkets, clothing and bric a brac.

Students from Selby Primary School, firefighters from the Selby Fire Brigade and volunteers from the Selby Community House were also present to share in the festivities and celebrate the unique community of Selby and surrounds.

Reporter Derek Schlennstedt captured all the action form the day.
