AN ARMED, balaclava-clad home invader traumatised a Boronia mum and three young children when he burst into their house last Thursday (6 August).
A 30-year-old woman was bathing her children when the man entered her Beresford Drive address about 9.15pm carrying what police believe was a firearm.
The woman grabbed her two daughters and son, aged 5, 4 and 2, and ran to a neighbouring home.
Police said the victims were emotionally traumatised but physically uninjured.
The man fled the scene empty-handed.
Police urged anyone who saw a man acting suspiciously in the Miller Road Reserve area that night to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au.
