Ferntree Gully woman dies in collision on Melba Highway

Police investigated a fatal collision in Glenburn on the evening of Friday 19 August which resulted in the death of a Ferntree Gully resident.

It is understood two cars collided at the intersection of Melba Highway and Burns Road at about 8.20pm.

The driver of one of the vehicles, a woman from Ferntree Gully, died at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle stopped at the scene and was not injured.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
