Suzuki recalls over 5700 cars

Suzuki Auto Co. has recalled over 5700 cars due to a manufacturing defect.

4472 A2L310/ A2L412, A2L414 Swift, Swift Sport and ATK412 Ignis model cars with a year range of 2022-2023 and a further 1259 Swift and Ignis model cars with a year range of 2022-2023 have been recalled as the steering shaft nut may not be tightened to specifications. This may cause the steering wheel to become loose resulting in a loss of vehicle control.

A loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Suzuki Australia in writing. Consumers can contact their authorised Suzuki dealer service department to arrange to have the recall carried out, free of charge.
