Make sure you stay for Getaway

AUSSIE rock group The Getaway Plan will play at the Ferntree Gully Hotel on its national tour.
The Melbourne-based band will play at 19 locations on its second tour Where the City Meets the Sea, named after the band’s hit single.
The group performed the single on Channel Ten’s Rove Live after the song debuted at number 28 on the ARIA charts last month.
It has since received extensive airplay on Australian radio stations, boosting sales of the band’s first studio album, Other Voices, Other Rooms.
Due to popular demand for the four-strong group, three new shows have been added to the tour, which will run until August. The Getaway Plan, whose line-up includes Matthew Wright, Clint Splattering, Dave Anderson and Aaron Barnett, formed in late 2004.
It has since travelled as a support act for popular US bands My Chemical Romance in 2007 and Kisschasy earlier this year.
Now the group has its own support act – Melbourne punk-rock band Closure in Moscow.
The Ferntree Gully Hotel will also feature bands The Beautiful Burn, Falling from Grace, Amongst the Vein and Holliava on Saturday 23 August.
Tickets are $14 plus booking fee and are on sale now from the venue and www.oztix.com.au.
