The Chambers of the Yarra Valley came together to celebrate Christmas over breakfast last week.
The York on Lilydale was the perfect venue as business men and women alike took the opportunity to mingle with other local business owners.
Those who attended were treated to a delicious breakfast, a magic show and a motivational speech from local millionaire and international speaker Darren J Stephens.
Mr Stephens took centre stage at the event on Wednesday last week as he asked local traders and business owners to do get off their bums and do something about growing their businesses.
“If you don’t get up and do something then nothing will happen,” Mr Stephens said.
“For every 1000 people you network with, you should make $1 million.”
He also said a key to their success was for them to becoming an expert in their fields.
“Be the person people go to when they want to know about your field,” he said.
“How do you do this? Write a book about it.”
