ARTISTIC flair and creativity of those taking part in the Belgrave Lantern Parade never ceases to amaze parade organiser Marina Dennis.
Speaking with the Mail on Monday, Ms Dennis said it was wonderful that so many people had really put some effort into their lanterns for Saturday night’s event.
“This year everyone absolutely got more creative,” she said.
“The inception of the parade came from the lantern artists and then the parade became built into the community.
“Now we have the community really getting involved, going to workshops, open studios and working bees so they can really explore all the ways they can get creative.”
Ms Dennis said it was so exciting to see what the community came up with every year.
The organising committee will meet in three weeks to debrief on this year’s parade before getting started on next year’s.
