CAME one, came all, Macclesfield Primary School’s market had it all.
The day finally came for Macclesfield Primary School grade five and six students as their annual Enterprise Market was held on Friday 6 December.
Macclesfield raised more than $2000 in just two hours at the event.
There were a number of stalls from popcorn popping to sponge throwing and even face painting.
The grade five and six students were assigned a task to design a small business over a school term and then run the stall at the market.
Students were given the opportunity to choose their businesses based upon their interests and then were guided to structure the business.
“It usually brings a big turn-out,” Macclesfield Primary School teacher Cheryl Grambau said.
“The Enterprise Market is a great way for our students to learn about business management and especially team work,” she said.
The portion of the money will go to the grade six formal and the rest will support a number of charities.
This year’s event supported World Vision in the Philippines to help those who are visually impared.
