THE Patch Primary School is leading the way in terms of creating a comfortable environment for local wildlife.
The school, through teacher Michelle Rayner, recently partnered with The Patch Landcare.
Ms Rayner mentioned how she would love it if the community would get behind them and build some nesting boxes for the wildlife on the school’s property.
Soon enough, thanks to the wonderful work of a man named Bob, the school was given 15 handmade nesting boxes.
“He made us 15 immediately within two weeks of me mentioning it,” she said.
“All different sizes, all for different wildlife.”
With the help of Bob, the students at the school can now offer a nesting area for micro bats, sugar gliders, possums and kookaburras.
