UPPER Ferntree Gully patchwork designer, Gail Pan, will be showcasing her rare talents at an internationally renowned event.
Ms Pan’s unique pattern designs and quilt bags will be among the featured items at the Australasian Quilt Convention from this Thursday to Sunday.
This will be the first time she has been involved with the event.
“I’m excited to be at this year’s AQC because it is truly Australia’s premier quilt event,” she said.
“Everything to do with quilting is under one roof; it will be wonderful.”
Ms Pan said it was just reward for many years of hard work.
Raised by her dress-maker mother, Gail said she quickly found herself immersed in the world of fabric from an older age.
She has been sewing her entire life and established her own business.
She said the convention exhibition was a real highlight for her career.
The Australian Quilt Convention, at the Royal Exhibition Centre, is one of the biggest events of its kind in Australia, with countless remarkable and unique quilts on display.
