Role models lead way

The friendly environment plays a key role in successful learning programs.

MATER Christi Belgrave is a vibrant open entry college for girls, easily accessible by dedicated buses and public transport.
With an enrolment of more than 900 students, modern facilities, fully connected contemporary learning spaces and outstanding results, the college is passionate about girls’ education.
Principal Mary Fitz-Gerald said there was less emphasis on competition as the driver for learning.
“Girls are free to pursue the challenges on offer, whether academic, physical or social, in leadership, in sporting activities or in social justice and community activities,” she said.
When girls consistently witness other girls as role models in all areas, they realise there is no limit to what they can do.
“From their first day at Mater Christi, students witness other girls as captain of the sports team, SRC leader, physics high achiever, drummer in the rock band, or as the lead role in the school production,” she said.
The ‘can-do’ energy of young girls is evident right across the beautiful campus set above the Belgrave township.
Students can be seen actively engaged in the extensive programs aimed to meet their diverse interests, abilities and learning styles. Contact the college on 9754 6611 to arrange a tour, or visit their website to learn more about taster days, scholarships and enrolling for next year and beyond.
