FOR the fifth year in a row, Bakers Delight at Ferntree Plaza is participating in the Pink Bun fund-raising campaign.
Kate Craven, the franchisee for Ferntree Plaza Bakers Delight, says she cannot believe the level of local support.
“I want to give a huge thankyou to the local community,” she said.
“A lot of people don’t think of Bakers Delight stores as small businesses and think all the money we make just goes back to the company.
“We are not just a franchise and we do it because we love it.”
Ms Craven’s bakery has raised about $10,000 to support the Breast Cancer Network Australia over the past five years.
“We hope to raise about $2000 this year,” Ms Craven said.
All proceeds of the sale of Pink Finger Buns will be donated directly to BCNA to support Australians with breast cancer.
The Pink Bun Campaign will run from 11 May to 3 June at Bakers Delight bakeries across Australia, including Ferntree Plaza, Mountain Gate, Boronia Junction, Boronia Mall and Knox City.
