All smiles around Tan for athletes

YARRA Ranges Athletics athletes competed in the final round of the XCR15 cross country season on Saturday morning.
Round 10 was the Tan relays held on the Tan Track around the Botanical Gardens in Melbourne.
Each team member ran one lap of the iconic circuit.
With many teams in contention for a top three finish in the overall season standings, the excitement and eagerness was high.
Ten Yarra Ranges Athletics teams fronted the starters.
Highlight of the day was the convincing win by the Under 14s Girls, winning their grade by more than three minutes.
Fastest male athlete was Julian Badari with a scorching 11.45s circuit.
Fastest woman was Georgia Laven with a lightning 14.12s, narrowly ahead of Veida Somerville’s 14.14s.
The club also welcomed two debutants to the Yarra Ranges Athletics family, congratulations and welcome to Sarah Love and James Love.

Little Athletics starting at 8.45am at Morrison Reserve, Mount Evelyn, seniors at AV Shield at Nunawading from 1pm.
