A GRASSFIRE is now under control, following a burn-off gone wrong on Wylie Road, Silvan on Thursday 15 December.
A CFA spokesperson said emergency services were called at 1pm to a burn-off that had got out of control, burning about four acres of grassland.
Five trucks were on scene and put out the fire just before 1.30pm.
The spokesperson said four small piles of hay would continue to smoke for a few hours.
The introduction of the Fire Danger Period will commence from 1am on Monday 19 December in Cardinia Shire Council.
