About 400 people celebrated the festive season on the lawns at the Montrose Town Centre on Sunday 9 December.
The Montrose Carols featured entertainment from Montrose and Billanook primary school students, who sang a number of familiar Christmas songs.
Families and friends joined in and sang along.
The Rotary Club of Montrose and District put on a free sausage sizzle for those attending.
Many families supported local traders by purchasing take-away dinners and enjoying the meals on the lawn.
Montrose CFA brought a special guest to the event on the back of a fire truck.
Santa arrived just before the carols started and handed out treats to the children.
