Residents atop Mount Dandenong woke to snow falling in their yards on Saturday 10 August.
The winter wonderland feel on the mountain continued on Sunday, with another dusting arriving in the early hours.
The magical scenes attracted tourists and locals alike, with many sharing their photos from the winter delight on social media and with the Mail.
Olinda resident Becky Scott told the Mail she woke up to the snow on Saturday morning, and could feel it in the air before she opened the curtains and laid her eyes on the powder.
“There is always a stillness and quiet with snow,” she said.
“It’s a great morning for football and netball at oval today!”
Volunteers were out at the ground early to clear the snow so matches could go ahead in frosty conditions.
