Ambulance Victoria has welcomed the generosity of The Emerald and District Ambulance Auxiliary, following their donation of a ‘Resusci-Anne’ manikin.
Recognising the need for paramedics to continually practice and refresh their techniques and procedures, the Auxiliary donated in excess of $14,000 which covered the cost of an adult-size manikin.
Emerald Team Manager Sharon Haslam said equipment like the ‘Resusci-Anne’ ensures the skills of paramedics are as up-to-date as possible, and assist in maintaining performance standards.
“Using the ‘Resusci-Anne’ ensures crews are well-equipped as they serve the sick and injured in the community,” Ms Haslam said.
Ms Haslam said the donation is a great example of community groups and Ambulance Victoria working together to benefit the community.
“We are extremely appreciative of the support from the Emerald and District Ambulance Auxiliary, and the wider community who will benefit from this donation.”
