The funeral for the late Lilydale RSL president, Don Parsons, will take place this Friday 22 May.
The funeral service will be limited to a nominated 20 people, which includes the area outside of the chapel.
No other person will be permitted under Covid-19 conditions.
There will be a full live stream of the service available for those interested and wanting to pay their respects.
The live stream will begin 15 minutes prior to the service, which commences at 1pm, and once the service concludes a copy will be posted which can be viewed at any time.
People can also pay their respects as the Hearse drives past the Lilydale RSL at 12pm on Friday, followed by the Lilydale War Memorial Cenotaph on the way out to the funeral.
People wanting to be present at either site to help form a guard of honour must observe the strict social distancing rules.
A memorial service will be held by the Lilydale RSL at a later date after Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
Yarra Ranges Council will also fly its flags at half mast on Friday to commemorate the life of Mr Parsons.
