Highway Patrol officers stopped a disqualified driver in Wantirna South on Thursday 22 September before she tested positive for illicit substances.

The 36-year-old woman was stopped around 8.30pm during a roadside breath test, where police found she was driving while disqualified. She tested positive for illicit substances and had her vehicle immediately impounded.

Police said Operation Scoreboard will continue over the long weekend.

“Motorists can expect to be tested for drugs and alcohol throughout the operation,” Police said online.

“If you drink or take drugs and drive, you will be caught and the consequences can be severe.”

The woman will receive a summons to appear at the Magistrates Court.
