Police Call Out for Dashcam Footage

Police are seeking dashcam footage following an incident on Burwood Highway in Ferntree Gully on Sunday 2 July.

At about 3:10pm a 36-year-old Warragul male driver of a Honda convertible lost control of his vehicle, mounted a curb and crashed into a pole.

The driver was uninjured and is assisting police with their enquiries.

A 31-year-old Ferntree Gully male passenger was trapped in the vehicle until freed by emergency services, has sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

It is expected the driver will be charged on summons in relation to careless driving.

Police are seeking any dashcam of the collision or of the distinctive black Honda driving in the area prior.
