Seniors gathered this morning at Cardinia Cultural Centre in Pakenham to enjoy the venue’s renowned pre-show Devonshire tea as part of Seniors Festival 2023.

They then relaxed in the main theatre to savour the talents of singers Antoinette Halloran and David Rogers-Smith performing the unforgettable music of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein.

Seniors Festival is a state-wide festival celebrating the contributions of seniors in our community during the month of October.

This year’s theme is ‘Learn Love Live’. As part of the festival, local free and low-cost events and activities are being hosted or supported by Cardinia Shire Council.

Council will also host Tai Chi for all next Thursday 26 October at Worrell Reserve, Emerald from 11am-1pm. No bookings are needed for this free event. Please wear comfortable dress, runners and bring a bottle of water.

Cardinia Shire Mayor, Councillor Tammy Radford encourages Cardinia Shire’s seniors to get involved.

“The festival is a great way to bring our seniors together to enjoy themselves, socialise, learn new skills and make new friends.”
