For almost 40 years the Basin has embodied the Christmas Spirit, sharing a night of candlelit carols with the community, and this year is no exception.

The Basin Carols by Candlelight is a community event, run by volunteers from The Basin Fire Brigade.

Taking place on 15 December, this year’s program is equipped with a lineup of performers from local primary schools and preschools to community choir groups.

Coffee, doughnuts, ice cream, burgers and an array of European food styles are available from 4pm with live performances commencing at 5pm.

A Bush fire Safety Presentation, children’s show and the appearance of Santa himself are also featured in this year’s carols by candlelight lineup.

In order to raise money for the Basin Fire Brigade sausages and soft drinks as well as battery operated candles and carols programs will be available for purchase on the night.

This event is free and open to all carols goers, eager to take part in some Christmas shenanigans.

Located at The Basin Triangle on 326 Mountain Hwy The Basin, this event is about bringing the community together for some Christmastime fun and folly.
