Boy mugged on train

POLICE are looking for a man and a woman after a Kallista boy was assaulted on a city-bound train earlier this month.
The 15-year-old boy was travelling towards the city on a Lilydale-line train when a man approached him shortly after 4pm on Thursday, 1 March.
Police say the man demanded the boy’s iPod before assaulting him and continued hitting the boy even when he fell to the ground.
In a separate incident on the same train, a woman allegedly stole a mobile phone that was sitting on top of a bag next to a group of young females.
Police say the two incidents are related and are now looking for a man and women they believe were involved.
The man and women were last seen getting off a train at Mooroolbark station and police believe they were travelling with three other people.
Police are now calling for anyone with any information about the incident to come forward and call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
