Anzac Day in Cardinia Shire

Several community Anzac Day services will be occurring throughout Cardinia Shire on Sunday 24 and Monday 25 April, paying tribute to and remembering those who have served our country.

The events are supported by Council’s Festival and Events Grant Program, which supports festivals and events so that all members of our community have access to and may participate in activities that reflect and celebrate local identity, interests and diversity.

2022 Anzac Day events supported by this grant program include:

Sunday 24 April

Beaconsfield Anzac Day Service

1/50pm: March commences; meet at Beaconsfield CFA Fire Station

2pm: Service commences

Corner Woods Street and Old Princes Highway, Beaconsfield

Monday 25 April

Cockatoo Anzac Day Service

6am – 11am

Cockatoo RSL Sub Branch, 20 Belgrave-Gembrook Road, Cockatoo

Emerald Anzac Day Service

5.30am: Dawn Service

10.30am: March, assemble town centre

11am: Morning Service

Anzac Place, 3 Memorial Avenue, Emerald

Upper Beaconsfield Anzac Day Service

10.30am – 12.00pm

Upper Beaconsfield Cenotaph, Salisbury Road, Beaconsfield Upper

Additional community events to commemorate ANZAC Day are also being held throughout Cardinia Shire. Residents are encouraged to contact their local RSL for more details.

Council offices will be closed on the Monday 25 April Anzac Day public holiday and will reopen on Tuesday 26 April with normal operating hours, Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
